Introduction & Philosophy
Boomband is an AI native career platform built to reimagine how people discover, shape, and advance their careers. Legacy recruiting systems were designed for jobs, not people. Today’s workforce values agency, authenticity, and growth, not résumés and rejections. Boomband’s philosophy is that technology should empower people, not decide for them. Our Players, Scouts, and Advertisers deserve clarity about how AI appears on the platform while understanding that Boomband does not make employment, hiring, or promotion decisions. AI features generate informational insights only. All users remain solely responsible for how they interpret or rely on those outputs.
Core Principles
Transparency (General Disclosure): Boomband explains in broad terms where AI is used such as within the Arena, Player Dossiers, and Job Signals. We do not guarantee individual explanations, real time reasoning, or post hoc disclosure for each model output. Fairness and Anti Bias (Intent Only): We aim to design systems that broaden access to opportunity but make no representation or warranty that results are error free or bias free. Boomband does not conduct or publish formal bias audits and is not certified under any automated employment decision law. Employers and Scouts using AI outputs for hiring or employment decisions bear exclusive legal responsibility for any required notices, audits, or assessments. Privacy and Security: Player data is protected through encryption, secure U.S. hosting, and standard access controls. Boomband may update vendors, infrastructure, or safeguards at any time. We do not guarantee absolute security and disclaim liability for third party misuse. Human and AI Collaboration: AI on Boomband is assistive. Scouts and Employers must apply independent human judgment and remain accountable for any decision they make using information from the platform. Accountability (Limited Scope): Boomband is responsible only for maintaining lawful technical operations within its own control. We do not assume or share legal accountability for users’ hiring practices, employment decisions, or compliance duties.
Our AI in Action
Arena Discovery: probabilistic matching and ranking that suggest potential connections or opportunities. Player Dossier: a dynamic profile synthesizing information provided by the Player or drawn from authorized sources. Career Signals and Scores: predictive indicators derived from general market data to help Players and Scouts explore possibilities. Micro Validation: voluntary trust cues from network confirmations or verified contributions. Ad Revenue Features: optional not yet launched tools allowing Players to earn a share of ad revenue. All outputs are informational and Boomband does not warrant accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any employment or financial purpose. Transparency & Explainability Boomband may publish general descriptions of how models function but does not provide per user explanations, appeals, or human review of algorithmic results. Users accept and assume all risk associated with reliance on AI generated outputs.
Fairness & Limitations
Boomband does not guarantee that algorithms will operate without bias or that outcomes will meet any regulatory benchmark. We are not subject to or certified under NYC Local Law 144, EEOC rules, or the Illinois AI Video Interview Act. Employers and Scouts are independently responsible for evaluating whether their use of Boomband data triggers such obligations and for fulfilling them at their own expense.
Player Rights & Controls
Players may edit or delete their Dossier information and manage visibility preferences through account settings. Export or advanced privacy controls may be introduced later but are not yet available. Boomband does not guarantee appeals or individualized explanations for algorithmic activity.
Employer & Scout Responsibilities
Employers, Scouts, and Advertisers agree that they use AI outputs entirely at their own risk. They will comply with all U.S. employment, labor, and anti-discrimination laws applicable to their activities. Boomband has no duty to monitor, audit, or enforce their compliance. Boomband disclaims all liability for hiring or employment outcomes influenced by AI features.
Advertiser Standards
Boomband prohibits deceptive or harmful advertising. Ad targeting and revenue share capabilities may be introduced later and will include clear opt in controls. Boomband does not guarantee the continuity, value, or availability of advertising campaigns.
Governance & Oversight
AI systems are reviewed internally by product and legal staff in proportion to each feature’s risk. Boomband has no standing AI governance committee and performs no third-party audits unless required by law or contractual obligation.
Legal Status & Compliance Scope
Boomband is a private U.S. technology company that offers career development tools not a regulated employment service or automated decision maker. References to U.S. laws such as EEOC guidance, NYC Local Law 144, or the Illinois AI Video Interview Act are for context only and do not imply compliance, certification, or applicability. Responsibility for compliance lies exclusively with the user.
Security & Data Stewardship
We apply industry standard encryption and access controls and host all data on U.S. servers. We may change providers or safeguards without notice. Users should protect their own login credentials and systems.
Model Updates & Continuous Improvement
Boomband may retrain refine or replace AI models without prior notice. We do not perform legal compliance reviews before each update. Feedback can be sent to info@boomband.com but responses are not guaranteed.
Closing Statement
Boomband uses AI to empower not decide. Our role is to provide insights that help Players and Scouts discover opportunities not to evaluate rank or hire people on anyone’s behalf. By using the platform all parties acknowledge that Boomband’s AI features are informational tools only and that they not Boomband are responsible for any resulting actions or decisions.
